Nicolas Sarkozy born Nicolas Paul Stéphane Sarközy de Nagy-Bocsa on 28 January 1955. He is the 23rd President of the French Republic and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra. He assumed the office on 16 May 2007 after defeating Socialist Party candidate Ségolène Royal ten days earlier.

James Gordon Brown MP (born 20 February 1951) is leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Brown assumed office in June 2007, after the resignation of Tony Blair and three days after becoming leader of the governing Labour Party. Before this, he served as Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Labour government from 1997 to 2007 under Blair.
Brown has a PhD in history from the University of Edinburgh and spent his early career working as a TV journalist.

Kevin Michael Rudd was sworn in as the 26th Prime Minister of Australia on 3 December 2007.
Mr Rudd was born in the country town of Nambour in Queensland in 1957, the son of a share farmer and a nurse. Mr Rudd was educated at the Eumundi Primary School, Marist College Ashgrove and Nambour State High School, where he was Dux of the school. He joined the Australian Labor Party at the age of 15 in 1972.
